where's the key?

Do you remember in the Alice in Wonderland story how Alice forgot the key at the top of the table only to now be the size of a mouse, and then she grew bigger, got the key only to be too big for the little door? 

Well, read a bit of this excerpt from the book to the little guests and then send them on a treasure hunt looking for keys... 

I have been to quite a few kids parties over the years and this is a sure fire winner!

Keys

One key ring per guest

Directions

Before the party starts, pick a designated area in your location to hold the key hunt. Scatter and hide old keys around that area. When you are ready to start the game, give each guest their own key ring to collect them on and let the search begin. It’s a good idea to limit the amount of keys each guest collects to keep it fair. Once they’ve found all of their keys, they can help someone else find theirs. Let the kids keep their key ring and keys as a take home favour.

GOOD TIP A simple and inexpensive way to make metal rusty and old looking is to spray vinegar on it. Do not dilute the vinegar and do not spray it very heavy, just mist it with a common spray bottle. Wait a couple of hours between applications, the more you apply, the more it will rust.
